Must Haves in Your Bag

Now we can all agree that a girl’s bag is sacred right? Even if you are not into designer or pretty looking bags, it's what’s inside that counts the most. Now at Rosy Collective we love to change bags and then get confused and very angry at ourselves because we’ve somehow misplaced our debit card because we were too lazy to put it back into our purse… but that is a whole other can of worms that we are too fragile right now to delve into.

So what are a girls must have essentials for their bag?

This very much changes on occasions because believe us even though we try to stuff our tampons into those tiny little bags you are meant to take to a wedding to compliment your outfit, they really are not doing anything for our stress levels any day of the week.

So our top 5 must haves in our bag (and this is not depending on the size of the bag) are below!

1. WATER BOTTLE

We would pretty much say this is number 1 because we love water. Yes, it makes us sound a little crazy but it is true! We try and drink 3-4 litres a day because we go to the gym around 4-5 times a week and like to keep our hydration levels up. A little tip we have come up with that we like to do to not make our bags heavier is take our empty bottle to work or the gym and fill it up there so our bag isn’t weighing us down.

Do you carry a boujee water bottle around or a simple plastic one? Let us know on our Instagram! @rosycollective

2. PERFUME

What is your favourite scent? Ours changes a little from time to time, and by this we mean how much money we have in our bank account to treat ourselves. We do have a sweet spot for J’adore Eau De Parfum by Dior as it was a birthday present and loved it ever since. We also do love Jean Paul Gaultier Classique and Chanel No 5 as it reminds us of ours mums!

But do you carry around these expensive bottles or something else in your bag? We tend to have one perfume in our bag and another at home. A bit confusing right. Don’t get us started!

Our night out and impressing people scent is different to our ‘ok let’s just spray myself so I don’t smell after a long day of work’. But it is still equally as important as our ‘I’m wearing this perfume so I can maybe get that some extra fries on the side of my burger’.

Please tell us you agree?

Either way, whatever is currently in our bag, we really do need something to spray ourselves with before and after we get on the London tubes in rush hour in the middle of summer stood under someone’s armpit.

3. HAND CREAM

We never really found the importance of hand cream until we started hitting our 20s.

There are many unexplained times that we have ended up with dry hands and it is not very nice to deal with.

However there are so many different hand creams out there that it overwhelms you sometimes. We do love a good hand cream that makes us smile because it smells very sweet. This goes hand in hand (pun intended) with our essential above. We love Rose flavoured hand cream by Body Shop at Rosy Collective because their tubes are handy and not all too expensive. Some other scents/brands are linked below:

Body Shop - Almond Hair and Nail Cream

Aesop - Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm

Molton Brown - Orange and Bergamot

4. SUNGLASSES

We probably not the only one who loves sunglasses, yes? They take sass levels from a 0 to a 100. They are great for eyeing up that cute waiter, eye rolling when there is a massive queue and crying because you forgot your favourite book at home for the train journey.

England weather is very much up and down that it is hard to keep up with it. It’s a little stressful sometimes and highly annoying. But on the odd day that sun is shining and there is a smile on your face, those sunnies come out and take your outfit/sass up a few levels. We have a pair of sunglasses which stick to us like a moth to a flame because they are super handy and convenient for our quick ‘OMG THE SUN IS OUT’ mood.

We have to admit our holiday sunglasses are a little more high end (splashing out an extra £20-£30 more is our high end) as those Instagram pictures have to be A+

5. POUCH

Now this may seem a little obvious but we are a sucker for a pretty pouches and organisation. You should see our Rosy Collective Pinterest boards and the organisation flowing through there. Points 2, 3 and 4 are all in our pouch.

We believe organisation is such an important part of life and to extend that into your hand bag is much needed. Some of our favourite pouches are linked below! You don't need to spend lots of money on them but we agree they do have to look pretty.
